Know Libya (registered in Libya as M’arafat Libya
Company Limited) is a Libyan-British business, based in Tripoli,
which specialises in offering tailor made solutions to clients'
needs in Libya by offering a range of complementary 'knowledge
transfer services in the form of research, training, and business
consultancy.
These services reflect and complement the extensive
Libyan and international experience and expertise held by Know
Libya's Managing Director Sami Zaptia (Libyan) and Yolanda Zaptia
(British) who both manage and oversee the companies activities - and
represent Know Libya’s contribution to supporting Libya’s long term
economic development

Sami Zaptia having lived, studied and
worked in the UK and Libya, with local and international
companies for over 25 years, is well placed to offer insights on
the changes happening in Libyan business and society. He is
responsible for managing a lot of Know Libya's researchand
consultancy activities. He is also a regular contributor to Libya's only weekly English newspaper the
Tripoli Post, a graduate of the NES/Monitor Leadership programme
in 2007, and a certified cultural awareness trainer.

Yolanda Zaptia, who is British/Italian,
first came to Libya in 1998. In 2006, she moved to live in Libya
with over 20 years international business management experience
working in different sectors (international banking, emerging
markets investments, research consultancy, training and hospitality). She is
an experienced manager of people, resources, projects and
businesses (including SMEs and now a business in Libya), the
author of several research reports, and a qualified and
experienced teacher (TEFL, CELTA, UK Business English).
